Pickleball in Boardman, Oregon
Boardman is still building its permanent public pickleball base. The city's July 2026 update described the new courts as a coming project, and the current parks plan says Boardman lacks existing outdoor tennis and pickleball courts. Local play therefore centers on scheduled or reserved gym use at the Boardman Pool and Recreation Center.
Where to Play Pickleball in Boardman
Boardman Pool and Recreation Center
The recreation center is at 311 N Olson Road, Boardman, OR 97818, with the district office at 1 W Marine Drive. Its gym has hosted local pickleball leagues and can be reserved when the facility schedule permits. Call 541-616-1050 for the recreation center or 541-481-7217 for the district office to arrange playable gym time. The recreation center page covers rentals and facility access.
New Public Courts
The City of Boardman and Boardman Community Development Association are developing dedicated courts for public recreation. The project was targeted for late summer 2026, but the city's July update still described construction as upcoming. Until the city announces an opening, these courts should not be treated as available.
Pickleball Lessons in Boardman
No standing local lesson program is currently published. A small group can reserve gym space for practice, while individual players can find regional instructors through the Coaches section.
Pickleball Events and Organized Play
Boardman Park and Recreation District has run seasonal pickleball leagues, including an April-to-May spring season. Registration is handled through the district's program portal. The permanent outdoor courts should create more league and drop-in opportunities after they open.
Visiting Pickleball Players
Boardman does not yet offer dependable walk-up outdoor pickleball. Arrange gym access directly with the recreation center before planning a game, or choose an established court in a neighboring community. Once the new public courts open, they will become the clearest option for visitors and spontaneous play.
